Main Tasks:
Interface sales/marketing personnel and technical service laboratory/ product training to understand and apply production/application techniques to enhance business opportunities via product applications, meet customer expectations and solve technical problems Provide inputs and recommendations for developing/evaluating product applications, defining marketability, modifications and termination of ineffective products with Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of newly developing technologies and manufacturing practices and share with the sales/marketing personnel 4. Support to define customer needs Make sales contacts via regular sales visits/calls, research customer needs and develop application of products and services effectively Determine the approach to apply market strategies and sales goals for each product and service by obtaining, coordinating and evaluating data and information from customers and team on product performance, customers’ expectation, intelligence on competitors in order to meet customer expectations and optimize sales/margin/ profit growth Sharing information related to customer expectation and product performance with team members Research and develop list of potential customers Evaluate product and service marketability in terms of customers’ technical and manufacturing needs Follow up on sales leads and make calls/visits on potential customers Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical development that effect target markets Establish, maintain and develop industry contacts that lead to sales Work with customers’ operation personnel and own research personnel to establish a communication path that enhance business development 5. Product launch Develop processes and procedures in technical aspects to ensure successful introduction of the defined products Participate as part of a product launch team to ensure smooth introduction of the product in customer serving processes Share with the sales and marketing team via reporting/ workshops the experience gained in technical service laboratories/ manufacturing processes in proper application/ formulation techniques Participate in or lead plant pilot scheme to gain actual production experience of using process conditions to influence product end-use performance and share the experience with the team Support presentation/ seminars and workshops to launch products 6. People management Support the employee development in the team by participation in employee recruitment, training and development, resolve discipline and grievance. Consultation with Human Resources function as appropriate. Provide marketing skills and expertise to enhance the performance of the sales and marketing team by coaching, subordinates, providing exposure, development opportunities so that they can carry out the necessary marketing strategies and tactics
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Chemistry or chemical engineering / technology Minimum 3 years in automotive/chemical/OEM industry or related fields
